North: Poznan, Poland
East: Rhodes, Greece
South: Sao Paulo, Brazil
West: Kauai, Hawaii (one of the parks on the western side of the island, west of Waimea Canyon and overlooking the Na Pali Coast region)
(I've been to Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora too, but those are not as far south as Sao Paulo nor are they as far west as Kauai.)

I'll bump a comment I made in the previous thread on this:

Some day, I'd like to go to Antarctica, and walk around in circles around the South Pole a few dozen times.  Then east and west *really* won't mean anything to me anymore.

If you are in VA Beach from 7/17-24 look for the muon2 license plate since I'll be there, too.

North: an island just north of Reykjavik in Iceland (May 2022)
South: It would have been somewhere in Louisiana, earlier than I can remember. Within memory would be in Mississippi somewhere around Starkville (sometime in 2011 or 2012)
West: Earlier than I can remember, somewhere in Nevada. Within memory, West Wendover, also in Nevada but just over the border from Utah (sometime 2020 or 2021)
East: Somewhere in or around Krakow in Poland (June 2019)

Up: the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado (July 2017)
Down: idk some tunnel that goes under the water at sea level somewhere or something probably (idk when, maybe 2014 in coastal Virginia or 2022 crossing from Denmark over to Sweden or something)

I remember a thread like this but I couldn't find it, so I'm making another

This first set will be only of places I've been to already, while places that I haven't been but have plans to go are a part of the second set. My third set will only include places I've spent the night in already, while the fourth set will include places I've both already spent the night in, but also places I plan on spending the night in.

North: Helsinki, Finland
South: Conakry, Guinea
East: Tokyo, Japan
West: Kauai, Hawaii

None of my current confirmed travel plans will break any of these records, though I’ll be in Japan soon and come close to being as far east as I was, and I imagine in the next few years I’ll make it south of the equator.

By lat/long:
North: Keflavik Airport, Iceland
South: Singapore
East: Narita Airport, Japan
West: Off the western shore of Kauai, HI

By heading:
North: Keflavik Airport, Iceland
South: Singapore
East: Binsar, Uttarakhand, India
West: Lat Krabang, Thailand

If layovers don't count, then Denali National Park instead of Keflavik for North and Hanoi instead of Narita for East by longitude.

I'm not going to play this game the right way, but the only place I've been west of Pittsburgh is Los Angeles. So that's a pretty extreme gap.
