Perot wasn’t an idiot... if he was then so is "W"....

A Perot presidency would basically be all about fiscal conservatism and moderate social liberalism in other words the closest we will probably ever get to a Libertarian President...

He would proably have a majority in congress to push through his program on the econamy and would most likley get reelected in 1996 but after that I think you would see the Reform Party decline as its purpose in supporting Perot as a presidential candidate is now gone by 2000 I think you proably have Gore v Bush as in reality however I'd proably give the edge to Gore...

Lets say that Perot is re-elected in '96. The 2000 match up may well return to Dem v GOP. If that is the case I can't see Gore running for Dem's as his platform to jump to the presidency was the VP, even though historically such a transition fails more often that not.

I'd imagine that Bill Bradley would run for the Dem's in the aftermath of a 2-term Perot Presidency as he has a grass-roots feel which would be ridiing on the coattails of Perot and Reform.

I think Perot wouldn't have done too bad...his main goal was the economy and I think he could have improved it...but overall he may have hurt Foreign relations

Sorry...in my mind dealing with the national debt should go along with the economy.

Not nessesarily.  Perot would have raised taxes (hurting the economy in the long run) just to bring down the deficit.  (Clinton did this anyway, but he expanded programs while Perot would have shrunk them).  Funny, We are currently a hallways width away from eachother with open doors and we are debating this on the forum.  Wild.

I know...but the program spending is what i'm talking about...If the government has a better economy to work with, they can have their programs, but if you don't have the money, don't spend it.

this is wild Smiley
