it depends (normal)

i like rain if it's not too cold out, and i like snow if it doesn't immediately melt into a horrible grey sludge.

Snow = freedom precipitation
Rain = horrible precipitation (cyclist)

As a cyclist, rain is the worst possible type of weather. I would much rather be out there in -20 (C) weather than a torrential downpour.

I like the rain. It's calming and enveloping. The snow, not so much unless it doesn't stick. Snow is just inconvenient.

I like snow. I only like rain if it's on a day when I don't have to go do things. But walking 15 minutes to school in the rain is horrible.

Neither (normal, etc.).

Actually, if I'm not jogging I do enjoy a slow, steady rain outside, so caveat there. Tongue

But I can't stand snow these days. Not at all. It's really such a nuisance on top of it being too cold out, too dark, and so on.

I used to love both, but in the smart phone age, they make using one impossible.

And at this point, I'm just sick of the cold weather so no more of the snow please. At least I almost always remember my umbrella in the case of rain.

Rain yes, but snow is something I haven't experienced since 2005.

Rain can be fun when combined with warm temperatures, but otherwise it really sucks.

Snow used to be fun when I was a kid, but these days it's just awful.

Snow was fun when I was a child. I now know that it sucks.

Rain is fine once in a while but nobody wants a week of rain or anything like that, that's depressing.

Both! Rain is so dope to sit and listen to. Especially when the power's out. Snow is a pain in the ass because of the shoveling thing, but it's cool to watch.

Sunny and cold weather with no snow is the best IMO.

Really? Sunny and cold is so annoying. Makes you feel hot and cold at the same time. Best is cool, cloudy, and slightly breezy.

Both when appropriate. Too much of either is bad.

As much as I like the sun, sunny cold weather is pretty horrible. The reason is because rather than making things warmer, the lack of clouds means that what little warmth there is doesn't stay trapped in very well.

I don't like "sunny cold" either, nor "the Sun is hot but the air is cold," which just messes with me. It's hard to dress for that.

I will say, though, that for me at least, ideal jogging/running weather is about 45-50 F overcast with no wind. That's ideal for any outdoor sports or physical activity. Your body can really get loose and you're not pouring sweat until you really exert yourself.

I will never understand why some people like cloudy weather. Cloudy weather makes me feel all gloomy and depressed. I like sunshine because it makes me feel more "alive."  It makes me a happier person.

I love houses with a lot of windows on the exterior. I will never understand why some people like to be locked up in windowless rooms.

Snow is beautiful, but driving in snow is a pain, and shoveling your driveway is even worse, which is why I prefer snowless areas (although I wouldn't mind living in a place with a snowy climate).

I should also correct myself. I meant to say that I like sunny and cool weather, not sunny and cold.

I'm going to define cool as 25°F to 55°F

The cool and breezy type of weather is the best. The breeze and the cool weather makes me feel alive. I will never understand why people like hot weather. The feeling of suffering and sweating in scorching, hot weather is the worst. Hot weather also makes me feel lazy, while cool and windy weather stimulates me more, if that makes sense. I understand why some would like extremely cold weather, but I don't like that either. I don't understand where Memphis is coming at. I've never felt that way on sunny cold days.

A place where the climate is cool and sunny all year round with no rain or snow would be the best. I don't like diversity when it comes to climate.

I work a mostly outdoors job during the Summer months so I always hope for a day without much sunshine.  It means that I don't have to worry about sunburn as much and I feel genuinely miserable in hot, sunny days considering the fact that I have to wear jeans and long sleeves.

Rain makes me happy, I just love looking out the window and seeing it rain.  This may come from living in Britain when I was very young.  Snow is something I love looking at through my window but I don't like it as much as when I was a kid.

I strongly agree with both of these points.

Meh, I suppose snow can be neat too look at, but the bad easily outweighs the good IMO.

This is where we disagree. I hate feeling cold and like to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. Sunny and 70°F to 90°F without more than a light breeze is probably my ideal range, although I will take too hot over too cold any day.

As you can probably tell, I like hot and sunny climates, such as low deserts and Mediterranean climates.
