2008: McCain picks a black running mate against Hillary

What if in 2008 running against Hillary Clinton McCain had done the opposite of what he did OTL and picked a black running mate, say Alan Keyes?

If anything I'd see him going with J.C. Watts -- not a joke like Keyes. I don't see the results of the election differing from RL more than potentially adding a state or two to Hillary.
