Tillis, the only politician who doesn't get a post-victory honeymoon.

NC voters don't seem that unreasonable, except for which politicians they vote for.

Serves North Carolina right for electing someone so blatantly awful.

Kay Hagan is sitting at home giggling to herself, plotting her next Senate run as we speak.

She'll have an uphill battle against Burr. But if she waits until 2020 and takes a rematch with Tillis....

Not necessarily in presidential year turnout when North Carolina as a whole will likely be more Democratic, and her favorables will likely recover a bit.

It will be so great in 2020 when the people of NC wash their hands of Tillis and his nonsense!

This was probably the most disgusting result of the 2014 elections.  Right up there with Rick Scott and Paul LePage getting reelected.

I wouldn't say recover so much as say she will become completely anonymous. My guess? her name recognition will fall below 50% before 2020.

Hopefully Hagan becomes the next Feingold, and returns to give One Term Thom a good spanking in 2020!

So did the one term curse switch from North Carolina's Class 3 seat to its Class 2?

Well, the 49% of NC voters who voted for him, and the many that stayed home deserve no less than Terrible Tillis. I must say, though, even though 4% is very low, it boggles my mind that people could be that moronic.

What's with our red avatars obsession of sending Kay Hagan back to the Senate? If you want to defeat Tillis, why not just nominate a non-joke?

I doubt North Carolinians miss Hagen at all, given how awful her approval ratings are.  They just hate Tillis.

TIL losing by 2 points in a massive Republican wave in a tilt R state = a joke.

No, Anthony Brown is a joke. Martha Coakley is a joke. Bruce Braley is a joke. Hagan is not.

Hagan is a cardboard cutout with DWS's talking points. Democrats in North Carolina can absolutely do better. Heck, even someone to her left.

Why was there a question about employees being required to wash their hands?

Because Tillis publicly said that such requirements shouldn't exist.
