Starting from Hoover as that is the easiest to get records, from best-to-worst, who sounds the best to your ears? Be it on the merits of who sounds the most compassionate, or who is the most authoritative, or both, or neither. Who sounds the best to your ears, and who the worst.

14. George W. Bush
13. Nixon
12. Ford
11. Clinton
10. George H.W. Bush
9. Hoover
8. Carter
7. Reagan
6. Johnson
5. Truman
4. Obama
3. Eisenhower
2. FDR
1. Kennedy

My rankings
1. Dwight Eisenhower (FF)
2. Jimmy Carter (FF)
3. Ronald Reagan (Mixed)
4. Harry Truman (Mixed)
5. Bill Clinton (Mixed)
6. Gerald Ford (Mixed)
7. George H.W. Bush (HP, but Presidency was not that bad)
8. Barack Obama (Mixed, blech Presidency thus far)
9. John F. Kennedy (HP)
10. Franklin Roosevelt (HP)
11. Lyndon Johnson (Mega HP)
12. Herbert Hoover (Lean HP, way HP President)
13. George W. Bush (Mega HP)
14. Richard Nixon (Mega HP, screwed up the country for YEARS)

I re-evaluated the Truman legacy, and felt his reigning in of post-WWII excesses alone deserves top 5 recognition on this list.

You misunderstood the point of this Maxie: I made this to see where the denizens of Atlasia go where voices are concerned. How do they come off in their speeches without much of any context.

Who sounds the best

I'm not talking about general legacies or overall.

For goodness sake there's a reason people say  radio listeners thought Nixon beat Kennedy at the debates.

But if you liked how Carter carried himself during the 1979 "Malaise" speech. If you're not a fan of Obama's oration style.  If Kennedy's Bostonian/British accent is a turn-off, well okay.

My opinion of Reagan is low, very very low, but I'll give him credit for having a compelling voice...which makes sense given he was an actor. Had he not made silly jumbles such as "Buenos Aires is the Capital of Brazil"...I couldn't argue too much against his oration.

And Ford would not be towards the bottom, he was a decent enough President, but how he speaks is about as uninspiring as a leader can get and he flubbed quite a bit ("No Soviet Domination").

Point is, I'm more after the oration than the policies.
