As it is on the books, the current law allows people to consume methamphetamine in public. I felt like we needed to create a classification for which drugs could be used in public/on public transit, so I introduced this.

Good catch. I'll declare the amendment friendly, (EDIT: and I would highly recommend changing the wording to "using" or "consuming" instead of smoking for obvious reasons.)

I'm a bit hesitant about Section 2-3 as well, as psylocibin mushrooms and lysergic acid diethylamide alter the mind in significant enough of a capacity to potentially lead to serious public safety risks.

@Griffin: Do you have an amendment regarding that? I'm all ears to any amendments.

@cinyc: Actually, I'd probably change the wording in your amendment to "using" or "consuming" instead of smoking because legal issues. Can't smoke LSD or mushrooms.
