As we enter the final hours of the election, the left maintains a narrow lead in the Assembly race. Current tabulations are as follows:

CrabCake (Lab): 4 (ELECTED)
New Canadaland (Lab): (ELECTED)
JCL (Fed): 4 (ELECTED)
EarlAW (WSRP): 3 (ELECTED w/ transfers)
Shua (DR): 3 (ELECTED w/transfers)
Spiral (DR): 2 (DEFEATED)
Bmotely (DR): 1 (DEFEATED)

Assuming EarlAW caucuses with the Labor assemblymen, this would give leftists a one-seat majority in the Assembly.
With the results as close as they are, we cannot stress enough the importance that you go to the polls and vote. That your vote could be the difference between a conservative Assembly and a liberal Assembly is more than likely: it is the literal truth. If you have not voted already, the Record-Courier strongly urges that you take a few minutes and fill out a ballot.

Whether or not I caucus with labor (does this even mean anything at this level?) is irrelevant, as I am still a leftist, and therefore if the three of us get elected, there will be a leftist majority in the assembly.

I was referring to whether you would support a Laborite in the Speakership election, which is quite relevant.

Under that scenario, Spiral would be eliminated, seeing as Shua had more votes in the first round.

The Mideast Record-Courier has the following projections to make:

CrabCake (Lab-MO) has been elected to the Assembly
New Canadaland (Lab-ON) has been elected to the Assembly
EarlAW (WSRP-ON) has been elected to the Assembly
JCL (Fed-IN) has been elected to the Assembly

Based on these results, we can confirm that the next Assembly will have a progressive majority, with the Labor and WSRP parties controlling a combined three seats to two for the Federalists and Democratic-Republicans.

Projected Winner: Labor-WSRP

Assuming EarlAW supports the Labor Party in the speakership election, Assemblyman New Canadaland (Lab) would have enough votes to be elected Speaker of the next Assembly, replacing incumbent Speaker Spiral.

Thanks to Windjammer and Maxwell for their assistance.
