Wait why can't Bushie eat spaghetti on Fridays? Is spaghetti another one of those things that normal people enjoy but he finds revolting (like plain water)?

Also it's depressing how Bushie, five years later, still doesn't understand how weight loss works. The only way you can lose eight pounds in three days is if you cut off your foot or something.

Bushie if you don't like spaghetti, don't eat it. It's not healthy for you anyway.

Yeah, especially with whatever disgusting high fructose corn syrup-filled sauce he is pouring all over it.

I don't think it's that he doesn't like spaghetti.  Rather, it's that he doesn't like cooking anything.

All things considered with as little as I've eaten this week, this may be what I need to start getting serious about my weight.  I don't feel like junking my system up day after day, meal after meal.  I anticipate being down around 283-284 by morning.  I could probably get down into the 270's by my doctor's appointment in late March.  It's supposed to be beautiful this weekend, so I am going to get out and walk for 15-20 minutes each day this weekend.  I'm not going to pig out this weekend as I'll still be careful with what and how much I put into my stomach.  I'll take it day by day, but I don't need to pig out.

Again, you honestly think you're going to end up losing 3 pounds in a 24 hour period?  You must have had a lot of poops today.

Yeah, it's literally impossible to lose that much weight in such a short period. Especially when you spend the whole day lounging on the couch.

Nah, you're gonna pig out as soon as you feel better.

God has given ODF this horrible disease FOR A REASON.

And that reason is for him to feel good about getting a quadruple double bacon cheeseburger with large fries and a REGULAR coke at Braum's tomorrow, as a reward for his weight loss.

If Bushie could lose 6 pounds on illness, imagine how much the similar weighted the Patriots offensive line lost during the SuperBowl: 3 hours of exercise and no eating! Plus they're all 6-9 inches taller. They're probably all 50 lbs lighter now.

Isn't it amazing how John Oliver has so many bits that work perfectly to describe Bushie?

You said "I was at 290 on Tuesday morning.  This morning, I was down to 286."  That's 4 pounds in two days, not 4 pounds in one day.

Bushie, you would be sown to 275 in a week if you walked for a half hour and didnt eat A LOT.  Walking is way more of a workout for you due to your weight.  Don't think of it as work.  Just go to the park and watch all the little critters scurry about.

Bushie, in order to lose four pounds in one day, you would have had to have burned 14,000 more calories than you consumed.  You did not exercise or move much at all so your calories burned was probably closer to the BMR of 2200 calories, 2600 max. . Plus, you didn't even fast, you ate hotdogs, cheese, and crackers.  You definitely came in at a net loss in calories these past two days, but it was no way more than 1000 calories net under, again, the most you could have lost was 2200-2600 calories since you did zero exercise.

Scientific fact isn't yielding here. You did not lose 4 pounds. You might have lost 0.2 lbs at best. Perhaps you stepped on the scale wrong or weighed yourself 290 on a full stomach, full bowels, full hydration and 286 on empty stomach, empty bowels, dehydration.

I weighed at the exact same time both mornings with the same clothes on and both on an empty stomach.  The scale showed 290 on Tuesday, 289.5 on Wednesday and 285.5 on Thursday.  The scale does not lie especially when all the other variables are the same.  That's algebra for you.

I did some calculation and on Tuesday, I only had about 600 calories (1 3/4 hot dogs with just mustard was only 480 calories according to the nutrition labels on the packages.  On Wednesday, I had about 1,400 calories with 400 of that being the crackers and cheese and the rest being the Sprite.  Today, I had about 1,900 calories with 1,100 of that being from McDonald's and the rest being Sprite and 1 can of Mountain Dew.  Both Wednesday and today I have had a lot of BMs.  I had about 6 BMs yesterday and 3 so far today.

It's taught in all the schools, so I would say so.

And because you didn't exercise at all it's literally impossible that you've lost 7-8 pounds. See King's post.

I am not an idiot, Lief.  I know what I lost and what I didn't lose.  I know the science behind it, too.  Do not talk to me like I don't know anything.

Since I'm assuming you have a cheap Wal-Mart scale, you do realize you can step on the scale and it could say 200 pounds but if you step off and immediately step on it again, it could say 202 pounds. It's not completely precise 100% of the time, especially for higher weights

Yes.

It's physically impossible for you to lose that much body fat in 48 hours unless you ran a marathon, consuming nothing but water the entire day, and then fasting again with nothing but water for another day, running another marathon, and slept the entirety of the time in between both marathons.

If all takes is just eating hotdogs and sitting around and pounds fly off, nobody would be fat. Nobody would exercise.
