After defeating Miles Raonic in the Brisbane Open finals, Roger Federer added another page to his already impressive record, by winning his 83rd career singles title on the ATP tour (good for 3rd all-time), and joins Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors as the only players male or female to win 1,000 matches on tour.

With many already considering Federer the greatest of all time, what does this win add to his legacy? Also, with tennis's first major, the Australian Open approaching, what would an 18th major title mean for Federer?

I watched him play at the Brisbane International last year in a doubles match. He was absolutely brilliant, definitely one of the best sportsmen I've ever seen.
