I used to not care, honestly, because he didn't bother me in the the least, but the vendetta against him won me over. FF.

I enjoyed when it was revealed that he was among the most prolific whiners to the mods of anyone on the site.

I used to think the forum would be hugely better off without him. It's not, really, but that's only a sign that his impact was nowhere near as significant as his cult of devotees would have you believe. We're better off due to not having a leering, shameless Caligula around though, sure. HP.

I'm pretty sure the Opebo adoration society was a combination of irony and Atlas "OMG you guyz are being soooooo mean!". Now it's just evolved into something ugly. When people who weren't even around are calling him a FF, without any irony... you know it's bad.

That is true. Seatown is still gone though.

The only ones who basically did were Lewis (for whom the forum is FAR worse off without) and seatown (who was a terrible poster the forum is better off without) And I'd be willing to put up with seatown if it meant we had both opebo and Lewis still, both clearly top tier posters.

Also for the newbies: Lewis was probably the single best electoral analyst the site ever had, and seatown was like Snowstalker but somehow even dumber, if you can imagine that.

He was banned before I joined the forum but I find it difficult to read posts from people like BRTD and lief about him and not find myself despising him.

He was frequently insightful and funny. Most posters are neither (and to be completely honest this applies especially to his detractors). Several people are one or the other. I can't think of anybody current who is both.
