I think the correct term is "First Lad" or "First Laddie".

On the question, he'd make a great First Lad. It's a post about appearances, and he's charismatic.

I hope his ego doesn't overshadow his wife too much. It will be a damn shame if the first female POTUS becomes The Bill Clinton Show Part III

He'd be the worst first lady ever. He'd be a great first gentleman, though.

No. He's not really the type to do typical First Laddy stuff.  Certainly he couldn't do a credible job of promoting health and physical fitness.  Also, he likes politics too much, and for better or worse the First Lad(d)y is expected to stick to relatively non-political topics

First Lady?  He'd rather make out with ladies than be one.  First Laddie, maybe?

He'd be great at hanging out with the first spouses from other countries at the next G20 summit:

I've always wondered what female leaders' spouses do on those G20 wives day outs. Obviously they aren't allowed in the paparazzi shots that Femail and the tabloids can use to criticize everyone's outfits... Are they even invited?

IIRC, shortly after Merkel became chancellor, there was some kind of summit held in Germany, and Merkel's husband played host and showed the other first spouses around town.  But as I recall from the media coverage, he sounded kind of miserable about the whole thing.  Bill Clinton would love it though, I'm sure.

I feel like his tom foolery will undermine Hillary if he's the First Husband.

I'm pretty sure that Tim Mathieson (Julia Gillard's partner) did all that sort of thing. He seemed to get really into it. This year he made a statement criticising Margie Abbott for not doing enough charity work.

And yeah I'm sure Clinton would be a fine first lady. He has the sort of social skills (and interest in socialising) that suit the role.
