What? I am?

I would be very happy to know what this means, exactly...both in terms of what I'll actually do, and what it means in terms of the fantasy elections...previously, it has been states that the game moderator wouldn't participate in the elections...since Nym isn't removing me as SecState I am guessing that isn't the fact anymore?

Anyway, before I make a decision on accepting it I'd like to know more about the meaning of it. Smiley

I think you can't participate, you gotta be impartial I believe.

It seems to indicate that it more of the formal position as moderator of that part of the forum, from Daveäs perspective, rather than someone who thinks up scenarios, act as judge etc. But I'm not sure...

Correct, it's a formal position from Dave's standpoint. You will have formal power to be moderator of the Fantasy portion of the board, so that you could delete posts from people if they are causing problems. I don't see how it would affect your role in the elections themselves, unless you are going to delete posts from those who don't agree with you or some such (but I know you wouldn't do that and would be impartial and fair, which is obviously a requirement for the position).

So does that mean I could still vote, run for office have positions and so on?

Yes, I don't see why not. As long as it doesn't affect your fairness and impartiality as moderator.

this isn't the sort of thing we were discussing for Game Moderator, we were thinking of an impartial person to control the forums and create problems for administrations tof ace and stuff.

Yeah, I know, this is moderator rather than GM, just as I suspected. I am willing to take this position under those circumstances, but I would prefer it if other people could run for it if they wished.

Right, Game Moderator is a different position then the more formal position of Forum Moderator. Dave asked me to appoint a formal Forum Moderator (probably due to lots of emails that he has received about problem posters, and the fact that he doesn't have the time to investigate each individual controversy).

Gustaf, I'd suggest emailing Dave for the details of what exactly it will entail.

Lol, I don't do much school work... Smiley

I am trying to do a lot of other things done though, so we'll have to see...but I don't think this should be too pressing, right? I just have to do stuff if someone does something?

Yeah basically, you'll have the formal power to delete posts, otherwise it doesn't seem like anything much. Like I said, emailing Dave to find out the full extent of it would be a good idea, but as far as I know, you won't do anything unless people start spamming the board or causing a problem.

Basically he's just taking the power that he has over all the other boards, and giving it to you for the Fantasy board.

You probably would have the power to move threads too I'd think, if there is something off topic in here, you could move the thread to a more appropriate section, possibly.
