Um...what election are they following?

After being chastised for failing to originally mention the fact that Kamel Bourgass was in the country illegally their lead election story since yesterday night was something about MRSA figures on Tory election leaflets. Was the information incorrect? No. They just forgot to put the fact they were regional figures, not those of and individual hospital. Now the Lib Dems produced leaflets recently with falsified quotes and it wasn't even mentioned. What planet is the BBC on?

Don't know. The coverage of MG Rover's collapse has been pretty bad ("will there be a backlash?" will this hurt Labour?" "please, please, please can we have a backlash?" "No, not against Phoenix. Against Labour" "C'mon... we wanna story here...").

As far as parties lying on leaflets go, I think all distortions and lies should be reported. The Tory MSRA leaflets distorted the truth, so have the countless LibDem leaflets that play silly buggers with bar charts (especially in Hornsey & Wood Green...)
