No.  No party is too radical.  We can learn from each other, rejecting platforms en masse, but keeping what we like and incorporating their ideas into our own.  I welcome communists, socialists, democrats, libertarians, republicans, fascists, nazis, imperialists, capitalists, reformers, progressives, and yes even greens.  (but that last one hard to take seriously)

An example:

"Wherein lies sovereignty?"

"republicans, socialists, democrats say The State"

"libertarians say The Individual"

"Constitutionalists say God."

Phil Gramm also supports the death penalty for drug use, so the Constitution Party really isn't much worse than the Republicans are.

Quotes from their website:

The Constitution Party is the only party which is completely pro-life, anti-homosexual rights, pro-American sovereignty, anti-globalist, anti-free trade, anti-deindustrialization, anti-unchecked immigration, pro-second amendment, and against the constantly increasing expansion of unlawful police laws, in favor of a strong national defense and opposed to unconstitutional interventionism.

Under no circumstances would we commit U.S. forces to serve under any foreign flag or command. We are opposed to any New World Order, and we flatly reject U.S. participation in any New World Army.

All teaching is related to basic assumptions about God and man. Education as a whole, therefore, cannot be separated from religious faith. The law of our Creator assigns the authority and responsibility of educating children to their parents.

We assert that any form of taxation on churches and other religious organizations is a direct and dangerous step toward state control of the church. Such intrusion is prohibited by the Constitution and must be halted.

We oppose attempts to prohibit ownership of guns by law-abiding citizens, and stand against all laws which would require the registration of guns or ammunition.  We emphasize that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have them.

We call upon the president and Congress to terminate the membership of the United States in the United Nations and its subsidiary and affiliated organizations.

We oppose efforts to confer statehood upon the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or upon territories owned or under the protection of the United States.

We will propose legislation to abolish the Internal Revenue Service, and will veto any authorization, appropriation, or continuing resolution which contains any funding whatsoever for that illicit and unconstitutional agency. We are opposed to the flat-rate tax proposals that are being promoted as an improvement to the current tax system. The Sixteenth Amendment does not provide authority for an unapportioned direct tax.

We endorse ratification of the Liberty Amendment, which would repeal the Sixteenth Amendment.

We deny that civil government has the authority to set wages and prices; so doing is inconsistent with principles of individual liberty and the free market.

Radical or Reactionary? I always thought Radical was to the left of Liberal and Reactionary was to the right of Conservative. Anyone else ever hear it that way?

Yeah, it's misused a lot. Radical is the opposite of moderate really.

Why do they oppose statehood for Puerto Rico?

Ohh.. that's right... hispanics are a different skin color and thus evil, in the eyes of these bigots.
