If Hogan kills the Purple line, he'll just accelerate the growth of NoVa as businesses and people choose to expand in a state that actually has growing infrastructure. That will help turn Virginia blue in the long run. If he doesn't kill the Purple line, it will help the economy of the Maryland/DC burbs tremendously. So a win-win.
