Superman, though only when done right (Man of Steel, for example).

I love them all, which makes it so much sadder that they're pushing Cyborg so much and not doing a Big 7 story. Barry and Hal are preferable. Gotta tell you, though. Paul Dini's work with the Big 7 is pretty damn good.

Without a doubt my favorite lineup is the DCAU, which to echo FreedomWork's point, it kinda hurts when they've started pushing Cyborg to the forefront of every story.

But Batman is the best by miles. Who else could create a plan to "take care of" the world's most powerful beings if they ever go bad, and it actually work?

In what universe is Man of Steel an accurate representation of Superman?

Flash/Green Lantern. Especially when Wally is Flash (I like Barry but I grew up with Wally)

Don't care honestly.

I never thought I'd agree with Dixiecrat over realisticidealist on something. Man of Steel was a travesty.

Anyway, Wonder Woman.

Man of Steel was an awesome movie that I will always defend. I don't care about fidelity to some nebulous, ever-changing canon, especially not the 1970s/80s crap. The movie has been unfairly destroyed on the internet for reasons I can only barely fathom. It's easily my favorite superhero movie (to the extent that it was one), with maybe only the Dark Knight series getting close, though I'm optimistic about the upcoming Batman v. Superman sequel.

You and I might just have very different tastes in superhero movies in general. I find the relentless grimness of the recent DC movies unsavory, not only as applied to Superman but in terms of the current ascendancy of Batman and his attendant concepts as well. Please don't misconstrue this for a distaste for serious themes; it's the combination (conflation, even!) of serious themes with cynicism and putative aesthetic 'realism' that I can't stand.

1. Reboot Superman with someone good.
2. Give everyone else a solo movie, with Batman last.
3. Make a Justice League movie.
4. Profit.

IS THAT SO HARD

My problem with Superman is that he is basically a god. Makes him boring as a result, and the parallels made to God honestly make me uncomfortable.

I actually really liked Man of Steel, and The Dark Knight might be my favorite superhero movie ever (though the other two parts of the trilogy were pretty mediocre). I voted Superman because he averts Batman's most unfortunate moral undertones.
