Like the last poll windjammer made, but more interesting.

I'd admittedly lean Paul (D). Cuomo strikes me as a neocon (like Lieberman), and I've voiced my concerns with him on economics enough. I'd vote third-party, of course, if this was the case, but I'd be very tempted to vote Rand.

Assuming you're right about him being a neocon, I might be tempted to vote for Cuomo...

Write-in Schweitzer or Sanders if the election isn't close, vote Cuomo with great reluctance if otherwise.

Cuomo solely due to SCOTUS.

Paul (I/O) with a gun to my head, neither if not. Paul would not be able to enact any of the insane elements of his program (big business wouldn't allow him to privatize transportation systems that they rely on for the delivery of their products, for example), but probably would at least be able to ensure that people don't go to jail for recreational use of Cannabis and could curtail the powers of the security state to some extent. I don't trust Cuomo on foreign policy issues or domestic policy questions. I don't trust Paul either, but I'd say he's easily preferable to the guy who specifically prevented NYC from raising taxes on the rich (IIRC) to fund preschool for kids.

Cuomo (R)

Both candidates are good though.

Undecided, I voted Paul, but it would a 50/50 coin toss probably.

Rand Paul (I/O)

I don't like Rand nearly as much as I like his father, so that's only if I were forced to choose between him and Cuomo and I didn't have any third-party or write-in options.

How is Cuomo is a neocon?

The term has a quite narrow definition (which over 99% of politicians do not fall under.) It doesn't just mean "someone who is horrible."

I only said he seems like one. Considering he's firmly in the DLC wing of the party (and their second most prominent figure), he'll most likely adopt more interventionist ways.

Seriously, this is the only election within reason that would be worse than Obama v. Romney.

Rand Paul without the slightest hesitation. Whatever issue I have with him pale to those I have with Cuomo.

Voted Paul (D), but I know I would come home to Cuomo if this were an actual election. He's been an awful governor, but at least he won't try to dismantle any progress we've made on public health insurance like Paul will.
