... I would like to think I was as mature as Keystone Phil when I was 16 or 17 and as well reasoned as PBrunsel at the same age...

whoa, Phil is a minor too?  I didn't realize that.

I live in a college town on the water, so it's not the type of suburb you may be thinking of in any case.  Friends who live in other areas love to visit me, especially in the summer, because of the beaches, hiking trails, parks, etc.  There are also lots of restaurants, bars, book stores, etc.  As far as the insufferable go, they sure exist here, but it's better than living next door to a crack whore, which is the only other option.

Ah, I didn't realize it was a college town - the most tolerable places in the US in my opinion.  However don't knock crack whores - I'll no doubt soon be resorting to them back home.

Alas, my tendency with my income is to spend it quickly when I get it, and that explains why I tend to stay here only about seven months of the year.  True, Thailand is cheap but when you do two or three girls every day, not so cheap.  Also I'm blowing a lot of money on a trip to Madagascar.  My usual summer mooching off the family, never welcome, seems to be ruled out at the moment, so I may have to get a job till the next moneys come in.  Nightmare.

Well, I did say I'd vote for the transsexual over BRTD.

Everything opebo says and half the stuff Migrendel says.

More-or-less right. Opebo maybe says one sane thing every hundred posts; close to nothing, I guess.

I'd say about 1/4th of Naso's posts, and 1/3rd of NixonNows (mostly in the past), and similar numbers of BRTD and AuH20 posts are disturbing. Flyers can be sick too, especially in his sigs (like the one with the dog and Santorum). Throw in MissCatholic and Populist3/bandit too, although they are more offensive then sickening.

However, Opebo and Migrendel really take the cake. It's not just that they're offensive or make sickening posts (Heck, I probably do that once in a rare while); it's that their whole life-philosophy that I find abhorrent. Especially Opebo's, it seems like almost everything about his philosophy is perverted. One of the reasons I continually look at his posts and respond to them is a sick fascination of his warped mind and how it works.

FDR was a great man – a domestic visionary, who along with Churchill saved the free world. FDR’s ‘New Deal’ was a sincere attempt to rectify some of the socio-economic ills – a response to the excesses of largely unregulated capitalism (i.e. it’s morally unacceptable face) that had been highlighted by the Great Depression. And Harry S Truman’s ‘Fair Deal’ and Lyndon B Johnson’s ‘Great Society’ continued FDR’s legacy. Throughout this era, much socio-economic progress, around a theme of social justice, was made (and no neo-liberal revisionist is ever going to convince me otherwise).[/qote]

I see a lot of people mentioning Migrendel, which is alternately baffling and relieving. After all, others who spout the infanticide idea are not denounced but rather given positions at Princeton. Heck, even opebo might be more suited ideologically for the ivy leage than, say, Keystone Phil.
