A genie has appeared out of nowhere and granted you the power to view the result of any gubernatorial election this year. However, he has made it clear that you can use this power to view the results from only one state. Which state do you pick?

I pick Wisconsin (to see if Walker can go down or not), or maybe California just to see how badly the Republicans get curbstomped.

Illinois, Michigan, or Florida.

Wisconsin, followed by Florida. It's a pretty hard call between those two. However, for me at least, a Republican loss/Democratic win in Wisconsin would be even more awesome than a similar win in Florida.

Florida. Wisconsin, considering the Walker scandal, is a close second.

Despite all the "trouble" he's been in and I think he'll win, I still want to see Illinois; how certain counties vote and the swing from '10.

Ohio, for sure. Whether FitzGerald wins or not, I would love to make sure that FitzGerald makes this incredibly close and doesn't lose by some huge margin to Kasich. It would also be great to see if Fitz can run up the score in Southwest and Northern Ohio. So much is at stake to given Kasich's potential Presidential run and 4 more years of Kasich/Taylor would make the legislature hog happy by being able to pass right-to-work. FitzGerald would likely be a lame duck Governor for at least his first 2 years, but he would have veto power.

If I didn't want to spoil the race for myself though, then I would likely choose Maine to see if LePage can skate by again because of Cutler or if Michaud can decrease Cutler's margin enough to win. I would also consider picking Wisconsin or Kansas if I decided not to choose Ohio or Maine.

I'd like to see Kansas. I suspect Brownback will pull through but his campaign has been lackluster thus far and I would like to know for certain.

Michigan, because I'm directly affected by the outcome.

If I was interested to see how each party was faring on election night--Florida.

Wisconsin, because of the bearing it will ultimately have on the 2016 GOP primary.

That guy is in Michigan, but he's also in Pennsylvania, Maine, Illinois, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Wisconsin, Kansas, Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. And they will all be gone come January 2015 Smiley

I'm almost inclined to agree, but at least Rick Snyder pushed for Medicaid expansion.

At least Scott Walker isn't my Governor.

I would list the following:
1. Florida: Scott gonna pull this off (see Obama winning reelection in 2012 despite horrible approval ratings and disastrous economic numbers) because this is the Gray Davis Effect to win reelection: you keep running non-stop attack TV Ads over and over and then the voters will believe it to be true.

Too bad Florida doesn't have recall elections for statewide officeholders to give them the boot.

2. Illinois: Big question is whether Quinn can pull it off again with the Luck he's been getting for a 2nd full 4-year term ?

3. Arkansas: can Ross be able to overcome the anti-Obama sentiment in the Natural State and rely on Beebe's popularity to push him over the finish line ?

California. I'm curious by how much Jerry Brown will win by.
