But in recent years, I have not smoked anything and my alcohol consumption is down as well (traffic controls are heavy here).

I've done it a few times, I don't know if I'd describe myself as a "user" as such, though. Fun if you can somehow manage to fight off the overwhelming urge to instantly get more for the rest of the night.

I'm pretty sure that cocaine consumption rates in France and in the US are well below 50%. At least I would hope so.

According to the Austrian "Drug Report 2013" by the Health Ministry, 25% of Austrians have already smoked pot once in their life, 5% took meth, 5% cocaine and 4% ecstasy. The poll was done by IFES in 2013, but I'm not sure how willingly people are answering about drug use to a telephone interviewer.

Only once, unwittingly. Split some ecstasy with a friend at a music festival, and almost instanteously my mouth went numb and I started feeling really good - like I have a 10 inch dick and can outknowledge Al on Welsh labor relations c. 1975. type of good. Given that these are not the effects of ecstasy, I turn to my friend and she's like, "yup, this stuff was definitely cut with coke."  Anyway the effects lasted for about 30 minutes before transitioning into the typical mdma lovefest. Probably wouldn't recommend; it's better to develop confidence organically than it is to artificially keep flooding your brain with dopamine until you die.

No, but my brother is in a rehab for doing all sorts of drugs that were a hell of a lot worse than weed, and the toll it has taken on our family has been the worst since my youngest brother had to go into the group home.
