GDP: German, UK and Japanese economies take off in Q1, 2014

Spain was +0.4% quarter on quarter, which is also not bad.

France on the other hand was a big disappointment: The GDP stagnated in Q1.

Very mixed figures in later releases:

Italy's GDP went down by 0.1% in the first quarter

The Netherlands had a big decline of 1.4%

Poland had 1.1% growth (3.5% vs. previous year).

Austria had 0.3% growth.

Belgium had 0.4% growth.

Bulgaria is up 0.2%

Finland down 0.4%

Slovakia up 0.6%

Czech Republic: no growth

Hungary: +1.1%
