Obviously, things could blow up as they have before.  However, given how she took him back after the breakup, and given how quickly she seemed to talk up marriage nearly as soon as he did, it sounds like she's pretty eager to get married.  (And I guess she's "old" by Oklahoma standards.)  So it's certainly possible that it could really happen this time.

Not that that means that everything will be great once they're married, or that Bushie won't still be Bushie once he's married.

Yes I wouldn't get too excited, but I will say this is the longest courting period Bushie has ever gone threw, I believe, which is another good thing we Updaters have done for him. Had we not been around, he would have proposed to her a week after they met and then lost her during that poor joke, never to see her again.

However, thanks to our steady hand, he is where he is today.

Bushie should post that picture in Update, then send Allison a link to Update.  He proposes and reveals to her the existence of Update at the same time.  If she still loves him after seeing Update, then she's The One.

While that is true, let's not forget how quickly Bushie's past girlfriends have said "yes" after dating for a week or so when he popped the question. It seems to be in the Oklahoma culture to want to get married as soon as possible without thinking things over.

I think this time, Allison will make it to the wedding day, but I wouldn't be surprised if another joke went back and they broke up again.

So, I went to investigate a job this morning that I had no appointment for, it was just a walk-in type deal. I walked in about 9:45 and walked out at 10:45 with a job!!!!! It is with a local company here in East Tulsa. It is a call center renewing contracts for AT&T clients. The pay starts out a little low, but it will be much better than $0.00/hr. It starts next Wednesday, July 9, 2014 - 9-6 M-F. Training will be 3 weeks, then my regular schedule will be 10-7 M-F. This place is only 3 miles from me. Now, this leaves the door open for the drafting company to call me Monday or Tuesday. If they call me with an offer, of course, I will take that job, but if they say no or don't call me in time, then I have a job. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

What a happy day! I'm just amazed at how many call centers there are in Oklahoma considering Bushie has been fired by like 10 of them and yet he keeps finding more to apply to.

Hopefully this will work out, but this green lights the proposal this friday! I can hear the wedding bells now!

The CADD certificate won't be coming but that's okay because Bushie has now 100% dedicated himself to a career in call centers.

bushie you *can not* miss any days during the 3 week training period.  no grade 7 headaches or fast food induced upset tummies.   the only way you miss is if you are hospitalized.

The only thing that can stop this call center job is if the drafting job I interviewed for yesterday calls me Monday or Tuesday.  If they call me with an offer then you'd better believe I'm taking that job and canceling my reservation in the call center training class.  I felt very good about the interview, so it's entirely possible.

I've never been to the midwest, but I intend to go when I get the invitation. Considering a handful of us are responsible for Jeffison still being Jeffison, it's only courteous that we are invited to the wedding. After all, we are owed it.
