Are they just so run out of ideas that they are taking old classic movies and turning them into TV shows?

Normally, I'd agree, but this is a legitimately good show in its own right.  A pale imitation it most certainly is not.

How exactly do you make a TV show based on this movie? And is it actually set in Fargo? (the movie barely was.)

One of three current television shows I watch. Fantastic. Fargo is one my top three list of my personal favorite films.
