At least in Provo you're less than an hour away from Salt Lake City. In Midland you've got nothing around you.

West Texans are probably more 'my people' than Utahns in most non-political ways, but I find Mormon Republicanism less objectionable than Texas High Plains Republicanism, so Midland, but narrowly.

If anyone else remembers Essembly, I recall a girl on there who was a liberal Protestant and lived in Provo. How's that for a minority.
