Results of the first round on April 13:

Jose Mario Vaz (African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde, former sole legal party) 41%
Nuno Gomes Nabiam (Independent, former head of Aviation Authority, backed by military and former president Kumba Ialá, who died last week) 25%
Paul Gomes (Independent, rich neo-liberal businessman) 10%
Abel Incanda (Social Renewal Party, party of Kumba Ialá) 7%
Others 17%

Although many sites reported she was running, the widow of assassinated former dictator João Bernardo Vieira was not a candidate.

Run-off on for May 18th.

Before the last run-off in 2012, between former President Ialá and another PAIGC candidate, the military overthrew the government and cancelled elections.

I'm sorry, but if Egypt isn't going to be a free election, how the heck is this going to be free?
