We needed a story to confirm that?  OK, thanks, I guess.  Add this one to the list of commonly known 'interpretations' of the Bush administration's policies circa 2005/2006 that has been needlessly proven correct.  I mean, it's too late to change anyone's mind - if you were okay with torture in 2005, why wouldn't you be okay with it now?

I think there was an investigation like this done shortly after Bin Laden was killed and the conclusion was the same.  Still, it's never bad to have another "I told you so" moment.

There are diminishing returns to this sort of thing, the problem is not that it doesn't yield any information but that it can yield any information, including misinformation or even lies regardless of the knowledge of the detainee, particularly once you start doing it close to 200 times.
