Bolton, Bush, Christie, Kasich, and Walker are all in Las Vegas this week to speak at Adelson's luxury hotel before a meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition.  At least, that's the official reason they're there.  Having the opportunity to meet with Mr. Adelson is just an unrelated bonus, I'm sure.

Well that's...nice for him I guess.

I doubt he will fund Christie. Walker or Kasich maybe.

Even if Bush runs, which I believe is unlikely, I suspect Adelson will back Walker.

I believe that, barring a bad gaffe or poor showing in Iowa, Walker will be the consensus candidate for all of the governors who end up running (likely Jindal, Christie, Perry, and maybe Huckabee and Kasich). Bush will probably support him too, if Rubio doesn't run.

That being said, the majority of the billionaire campaign financiers will prefer a governor over a senator. Walker will already have the Kochs behind him. His social conservatism will appeal to Freiss, and his ties to business and conservative credentials will, in my opinion, appeal to Adelson.

I'll run as a Republican for Adelson, if he'll give me money.... A Teddy Roosevelt Republican.

The irony is that unfettered campaign donations line up with the vision of Rand Paul more than anyone else and Adelson's primary concern will be sinking Paul's candidacy.

How does it line up with Paul more than any others? None of the prospective GOP candidates support campaign finance restrictions.

Hmm.. How about I run as your VP, and we split Adelson's money 50-50? Or even 70 your way 30 my way, I'm not picky. Tongue
