Easily option 3.

Seriously I'd rather read a badly commented RSS feed or pure white noise than the inane Sage idiocy spewed out by that joke of a former poster. I just found one of his old posts and it made me want to smash my window in the extreme stupidity. He was probably worse than Snowstalker is now, and that's saying a lot.

The only reason I won't celebrate his absence is we had to lose opebo and a couple others as well. But really, I'd put seatown in posting quality about equivalent to hifly, krazen or 20RP12. Utterly f[inks]ing terrible poster and human being.

seatown's forum posting was always secondary to his IRC contributions

I can't recall whether this was commented on at the time, but the fact that seatown of all people was the one to set up the Sage Garden is some really intense weapons-grade irony.

seatown was an excellent poster and is an all around great guy. His "sagery" was still more of a worthwhile contribution to this place than "OMG WHO WOULD WIN RUSSS POWERS OR OPEBO?!?!?!"

I'd rather take Supreme Court banning gay marriage and a Republican in 2016. There might be some progress after that on the horizon.

Believe me, I also got sick of the Russ Powers crap and never joined in. That does not however exonerate this saging moron.

Pretty sure seatown would be a Russ-ophile if he were still around, if his old behavior was any indication.  Bringing Update crap into this only provides even more evidence for BRTD's point.

EDIT: It occurs to me that I slightly misread your point, and you were talking about the tiresome silliness of BRTD's endless opebo-plumping matchup polls just as much as the Update memes.  Which is true, but also irrelevant to the point at hand.

NewYorkExpress would never think of "death by celebrity-f***ing-induced heart attack". That entire section changed my perception of TX Conservative Dem.

There was a small group or milieu (a couple of dark green avatars, as I recall) loosely associated with option 3, most of whom now seem to be gone, who were collectively, truly awful. I don't mind saying that. Pass-me-a-bucket awful.

Were? 2/3 of those are still here, and I'm not that bad of a poster. I'm certainly a better poster than WalterMitty, for example of a Atlas long-timer.

Also, the people here taking seatown's obviously absurd statements at face value are the funniest of all.

That's basically saying he was a troll instead of an idiot.
