Amusing that some think there's anything particularly radical about him. He'd be quite at home in most social democratic parties.

While his actions with Ron Paul are a bit questionable (For me anyway), I think the guy is doing a very good job and seems a bit more genuine than others, and while I'm a bit to the Right of him on Economic issues (Regular Liberal), I think he has the right idea with Social Issues.

BTW, I'm saying this as a big Hillary fan.

Why is demanding an audit of the Fed and trying to halt the growth of the National Security state "questionable"?

Okay, worded it wrong, I have never liked Ron Paul, he's too far out there, wanting to bring back the gold standard is a big no no for me.

I don't want to comment on either the Audit or the NSS(A), since I don't want this thread to be derailed.

Bernie Sanders doesn't want to bring back the Gold Standard though. Working with someone who does doesn't make you assume their position.

FF, though he shouldn't run for President because even if he did run in the Democratic primary and won, we're practically giving Republicans the Presidency since he will be too polarizing to appeal to a lot of moderate voters. He would get some libertarian support, but nonetheless they would still vote for the Republican and carrying the left-wing vote just wouldn't be enough. Hillary, at least, has crossover support from Democrats and Republicans alike. His non-interventionist foreign policy and strong socialist economic principles I could get behind, but he's too socially liberal for my liking to vote for him over Hillary.

Translation: I don't want a real progressive to run for President, that might be too divisive. I want a feckless, evil sociopath to represent the left instead.

In 2000, Hillary ended up polling 5 points behind Gore in NY. In 2012, Sanders polled 11 points ahead of Obama in Vermont. So basically, Sanders is capable of winning Republicans, while Hillary is capable of losing Democrats.

Why so much love for him on here?  The guy is a self-described socialist.  And while I don't think socialists are automatically bad people, they are automatically HPs on policy, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah but you also think that the Republicans are an anti-racist party, so I'll take your delusions with a massive grain of salt.
