All three Bredesen-appointed State Supreme Court judges won with 56-57%. Big fail for conservatives.

39.7% in now in TN-04, Tracy leading DesJarlais 46-44

Some of Bedford County (7/11 precincts) came in, going 59-35 Tracy.

Out of what's remaining, I think the question is whether Tracy's strongholds in the rest of Rutherford and Bedford  counties will offset what is to come in the election day results in two counties DesJarlais won the early vote, Franklin and Warren, with a handful of small counties that haven't reported being a bit of a question mark.

A dump from Franklin County put DesJarlais ahead by about 400 votes.

Interesting note: Lamar Alexander actually lost his home county, Blount, with 44.3% to Carr's 47.1%.

TN-04: 64.5% in, Tracy leading DesJarlais 46-45

More of Rutherford came in, putting Tracy on top.  DesJarlais' stronghold of Warren is still completely out (except for early votes), as is Grundy County, which borders areas DeJarlais has shown strength.  Not even absentees are in from Grundy, so there's no inkling of how it will vote other than geography.

Wonder what the recount provision in TN is.

Only a court or legislative body may order a recount, if there is "a tie vote; an indication of fraud; or the malfunction of a voting machine, in sufficient amounts to alter the election outcome; or any other instance” in which such a body “finds that a recount is warranted.” A candidate can request one, but it's ultimately up to the courts, a primary board or the Legislature.

There's no explicit provision for a recount if the margin is less than a certain percentage.

And also with 83.4% reporting, Alexander's victory margin has shrunk to single digits: 50.1%-40.2% (Flinn 5%, Agnew 2%, Lenard 1%, King 1%, Magee 1%)

Excellent news (in a night where we might not get much else of it)!

LOL, lunatic incumbent Campfield has lost to Dr. Richard Briggs, 67%-28%.

Is tracy or desjaruwhatever the tea party candidate?

DesJarlais and (it could be said) Fleischmann are the Tea Partiers; Tracy and Wamp are the mainliners. Both were elected in 2010.

I don't think Fleischmann can be fairly described as a Tea Partier; I'm honestly not sure how to describe him, but I think he's more establishment than he is tea party. Wamp is just really weird.

I really wouldn't have described him that way, either, until I watched the Wamp-Fleischmann debate. At the very least, he pandered to them to save his own seat. "You lie with dogs" and all that.

A 331-vote margin.  4 precincts in Tracy stronghold and home Bedford County and all of Grundy County, including early votes remain out.  Grundy will likely be DesJarlais-friendly, so he could retake the lead and win it.

With all but 1 of Bedford County's precincts now reporting, Tracy's lead is up to 494.  Grundy is still all out.  According to Red Racing Horses, "Grundy County cast 1,023 votes in the 2010 GOP primary but only 658 in 2012."  If the number of votes cast is closer to 2010 and DesJarlais wins the county 3:1 like he did in some neighboring counties, he can retake the lead.

AP has called the TN-Senate-D race for Ball.  Ball leads Adams by about 1,700 votes with 97% in.

AP has also called TN-03-R for Fleischmann over Wamp.
