Thank you Mr Speaker.
Life Imprisonment is worse than death penalty. I strongly urge the Most Serene Representative to vote this bill. The Midwest isn't a barbaric region. I'm of course willing to compromise.

I'm certainly against the death penalty and life imprisonment without the chance of parole. However, I think TNFs suggestion of a maximum of 1/4th of a lifespan is a bit too little especially when you look at the likes of awful, young criminals like Adam Lanza or Jared Lee Loughner. Maybe a 40 year max I would be okay with though. That wouldn't be life imprisonment and it's still enough to please both party's families in a case that meets the conditions of the victim's family for a relatively lengthy sentence while the other family would likely still get to see him/her out of jail before he/she dies. Sometimes, longer sentences could be beneficial because often convicted felons may repeat their actions again once out of jail and gives them morer time to rethink their actions. On the account of good behavior though, I would favor reduced sentences or even parole sentences w/required rehabilitation programs.

I would approve of TNFs idea though to prohibit solitary confinement. It only makes conditions and personal stress even worse for the prisoner and would make them even more insane with no interaction whatsoever with anyone.

While I support efforts to eliminate solitary confinement, the reason I oppose the death penalty is because of how many mistakes have been made over the years because of it. Life imprisonment dpes not possess that...finality. I support life imprisonment for those who committ severely heinous crimes, and I strongly oppose this bill.

I'm against the death penalty, but I think that the life imprisonment is right for the persons who commit severely heinous crimes. For this, I'm against the bill.

Oops, you haven't understood me. Why are you such opposed to a Life Imprisonment repeal? Do you see the difference?

It seems a little vague, but I will support the bill depending on the maximum number of years life imprisonment can be defined by. I could compromise with a max of a 40-50 year sentence with the possibility of parole and rehabilitation. It still makes it possible for a good enough punishable sentence and when released, they'll likely be over 60 and not have anymore violent motives. Squeaky Fromme, for example.

You won't want a 17 year old who killed his sister and father or something to be released when he's 40 or so and still have a pursuit for more violent acts in their lives. At least with more openness to longer sentences, that 17 year old may not be released until he's like 62 or so and you won't see a lot of repeated criminals at that age or >55 ages for that matter.

I propose an altered amendment to which Brewer or Cris may or may not agree with.

Friendly of course, but I will do all I can to convince Brewer/Cris to chance their mind (at least abstain).
