And his co-workers despise his political past.

His [former] supporters and Sarah Palin must be devastated.

Didn't he run for Congress or something? Not enough teabagger in him, apparently.

Yeah, he ran in OH-9 in 2012 against Kaptur and got absolutely crushed. He barely broke 20% IIRC, but a Tea Party Pubbie challenging her this year who isn't as nearly as well-known is bound to do even worse.

It's so great to see this Ted Nugent lunatic out of the media though already. Let him have his cigarette, but his attention whoring is over with and won't ever win political office in Ohio not after his campaigning for Palin, comparing Obama to a socialist time and time again, and comparing gun control to Nazi Germany and then trying to sway off the Teabagger label. Wurzel earned it, and will always be a Tea Partier; in the minds of a lot of Northeastern Ohioans, at least. As for his "evolving" stance on unions, it's probably nothing except just sucking up to Chrysler to hold his job. I'm shocked they even hired him.

How fantastically ironic. Conservative working-man rails against government and obtains job through company saved by government while joining a union.

Couldn't make it up if you tried.

I'm glad Mrs. Grumps and I bought our Jeeps before he started working there.

Why did I think he was dead or in prison?

Yeah, that "redistributing wealth" business hasn't gone so well. But it doesn't really matter, I guess.

He probably still hates unions (forced to join) and Big Gubment (wonder what he thinks of safe worker conditions? - no good?) even if he would be the first to benefit, which is always what shocks me about those guys. It's called being as dense as the jungle.

And I'll probably be paying his welfare in a few years too and then social security... and then his Obamacare...  Funny how things work.

Joe the Plumber's story continues to baffle and amuse me. I was delighted I got to cast a vote for Kaptur in '12 and that he was the opposition. This is sprinkles on the icing of a delicious schadenfreude flavored cake.

Sounds like a good union job, but nowhere near the over $250,000 he was supposed not Joe the not plumber was supposed to make after he bought some plumbing business, and then was worried that evil Obama might raise his taxes (threshold ended up being $400,000).
