What are some of the worst political ads ever aired?

Clarification: I meant like dirtiest attack ads (but anything else works). I was thinking of the "Godless" ad from the 2008 Senate race in North Carolina.

Liddy Dole's Godless ad against Hagan is one of the more infamous ones.

Norm Coleman also ran a pretty stupid ad against Franken.

One of my favorite ads from 2008 was a Saxby Chambliss ad that featured Jim Martin waving a "Women For Obama" sign (or something to that effect) in slow motion, for whatever reason.

If you guys think this is bad, you just wait what the next few years will provide courtesy of Citizens United.

So much more money can come in now days that nobody cares.  And it's showing.

Josh Mandel: Can't Push Us Around  Literally all of his 2012 campaign ads have him talking about how he served as a Marine in Iraq and is a 34 year old state Treasurer and used his military service as an excuse for his radical views, his notable consecutive absences as Chairman of the Board of Deposit, and running for Senate just two years into his Treasurer term.

Mark Pryor's Bible ad, Bruce Rauner's Boom ad, Bruce Rauner's Lunch ad (and there are plenty other great ones by him to on YT), Brian Schweitzer's (D-MT) 2008 Motivation NRA ad, Dwayne Stovall's Turtle Soup ad, Vance McAllister's Duck Dynasty ad, and last but not least, Christie's Stronger than the Storm ad.

Carly Fiorina's Demon Sheep Ad... She may have won the primary, but this ad still haunts her
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ_z9Tpdl9A
Let's be realistic here, Hillary had the same amount on Obama... I could've seen Biden or Dodd, pulling this ad off, but from Clinton it just wasn't appropriate

Goldwater was always going to lose, Johnson really didn't need to pile on.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have made it to YouTube, but at least I can be certain that one of the worst political ads ever to air still exists.

http://tvnews.vanderbilt.edu/program.pl?ID=259469

It was 1978 and Nick Belluso was running for governor of Georgia.  Now we all decry droning ads that seem to want to hypnotize the voters into voting a particular way, but at least Nick Belluso's ad was honest about it.  Here's a transcript I found:

Belluso: This is Nick Belluso.  In the next ten seconds you will be hot by a tremendously hypnotic force. You may wish to turn away. Without further ado, let me introduce to you the hypnogenecist of mass hypnosis. the Reverend James G. Masters. Take us away, James.
Masters (in stage hypnotist garb, somewhat obscured by mist): Do not be afraid. I am placing the name Nick Belluso in your subconscious mind. You will remember this. You will vote on Election Day. You will vote for Nick Belluso for governor. You will remember this. You will vote on Election Day. You will vote for Nick Belluso for governor.

There also was a court case against an Atlanta station WTCG (which later became the superstation WTBS) which refused to air the ad:
633 F.2d 393: Nick Belluso, Plaintiff-appellant, v. Turner Communications Corporation, Defendant-appellee
United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. - 633 F.2d 393

Can't go wrong with the Alan Grayson ones from 2010. Those were brilliant.

ALAN GRAYSON SAVED OUR SCHOOLS!

TALIBAN DAN WEBSTER

I can't remember the degree of truth the second one has, I think it was a misquote by the campaign, but the sheer use of hyperbole just makes the ad hilarious. The first one would've been fine if didn't get all creepy with the children heralding him at the end.

I... Words fail me. I can't believe something that great exists.
