The hereby open voting on the following two proposals lasting exactly one week.  Please vote yes, no, or abstain.

A. 001:  The Election Schedule Amendment

Section 1
(a).  Article II, Section 3, Clause 1 of the Pacific Constitution is hereby repealed.

Section 2
(a).  Elections for Governor and Lt. Governor shall be during the months of April, August, and December.    The elections in April and August shall be held the second to last weekend of the month on the days of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The December elections shall be held the second weekend of the month during the days of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in order to avoid the holiday season. Voting shall open at noon Pacific Time on Friday and end at noon Pacific Time on Sunday. The Governor and Lt. Governor shall assume their office during the first weekend of the month following the election, between noon Pacific Time on Friday and noon Pacific Time the Sunday ensuing.

B. 002:  The SECOND Medical Marijuana Legalization Act

Section 1
(a).  The legislature of the Pacific region shall hereby legalize marijuana for medical use.

Section 2
(a).  All medical marijuana shall be grown on state farm subsides in undisclosed locations throughout the Pacific. 

(b).  All marijuana grown by these farm subsides shall be distributed by the Pacific government.

Section 3
(a).  Only physicians with official medical marijuana prescription pads from the Pacific shall be given the ability to prescribe medical marijuana. 

(b).  If a prescription pad is lost or stolen, the physcian shall be required to report the disappearance to authorities or face arrest.

Section 4
(a).  All pharmacies who have recieved distributions of medical marijuana shall be required to store the drug in a location out of the public's view or reach.

If I could, I just have one question about B. 002 that I'm unsure about: will the marijuana be grown by government workers or private workers?  I ask because Canada has already tried having the government cultivate medical marijuana and it was a spectacular failure.

The voting is hereby closed.  I will count Lewis' and John Ford's vote on B002.  The results are as follows:

A. 001:  The Election Schedule Amendment
With 6 in favor, 2 opposed and 0 abstentions, I declare this amendment to have passed and present in to the Honorable Governor Wildcard for his signature.

B. 002:  The SECOND Medical Marijuana Legalization Act
With 5 in favor, 2 opposed, and 1 abstention, I declare this bill to have passed and present in to the Honorable Governor Wildcard for his signature.
