Not if the ice equipment is up to the conditions.  Heck, it'll probably be cooler at Dodger Stadium at game time than it is in most indoor arenas.

I saw a bit of it on TV. It must be hot to play in, but not too bad.  I like the idea of having 1 Winter Classic each year (or 1 Winter Classic and 1 Heritage Classic in Canada), but they are definitely overdoing it this year with the outdoor games. Its losing its novelty.

I'm watching the LA game right now. The surface looks very wet. It must take a lot of effort to play NHL hockey on that ice.

The temperature in indoor ice arenas isn't that cold (some company who does something with ice drying says many stadiums keep it at 55F: http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.beckerarena.com/UserFiles/File/arid%2520ice%2520meetingNHLstandards.pdf&sa=U&ei=dqTkUou0DIiqsQS0w4Bo&ved=0CCQQFjAK&usg=AFQjCNFEBmwbVWZjcg-zshUXHDiEzo5m8g)

So the problem I was seeing was probably the lack of drying power for the LA air. It may not be humid in LA but at ice temps, the relative humidity was probably too high.
