I actually found a picture of a black police officer here:



Of course this is not really common, because there are not a lot of black people here.

If there are, they are more likely to be non-citizens and therefore not eligible to be police officers (many of the black Austrians are in fact refugees from Africa).

Also, even though we have 20% of the population with a migration background, most of them are also white like all the Eastern Europeans and those from the former Yugoslavia. Even Turkish immigrants count as white (if not as a European version of "Hispanic") ...

Now, our fire trucks are actually quite complicated.  Because the Las Vegas metro area has four different municipal authorities; City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, and Clark County, the fire trucks under each authority are a different color.

I can assure you that seeing those race cars while sitting in the passengers' seat on acid is a serious experience.

The checks are distinctive. You never have any doubt that it's a cop car when you see it. Unlike the weird north american style, where they get crap cars and make them look uglier.

Not saying the Australian designs aren't ugly, but at least they're proper cars and they're distinctively police.
