Seriously, I think these responses are odious, thankless chores.  They generally just remind people how our political "rising stars" are disappointing when people listen to them for more than 10 seconds.  Scott Walker seems like a decent choice.

Partisan responses to the State of the Union address should not exist. It would be nice if we could pretend for just one day that the President is indeed the President of these United States, not Enemy #1 for the party out of power. [/wishful thinking]

I mean, don't get me wrong. Toomey is (almost as) insane as the rest of the bunch, but he has an annoying tendency to appear otherwise.
