I consider this to be an emergency. Wink My Emergency slots are also filled so I can put a fourt Tyrion bill on the floor using the PPT slot.

The Senator has 24 hours to begin advocating for this.

Oh wow, I've reached the clogging limit? It's alright, we all need a little more Tyrion in our lives.

In any case, this is pretty straightforward. 60% of people don't know about Nixcome according to the GM, so we should inform them that it exists.

I think that's enough to post a few threads on the subject, at least.

I am supportive of this legislation, though I wonder as to why we don't just amend the original law to make the BIG an opt-out, rather than an opt-in, program. It would save us a lot of time and money.

Yeah, I'd like to see us spend a little bit more than this to get out the word.

A proposed amendment.

I would support that but certainly it is much more traumatic...

Is there any money we can re-direct that is already going to the Basic Income Program?

Amendment is friendly.

I'd also like to see an answer to tmth's question.

I had a reason for $12 million but I forgot. I think that was the cost of having TV ads and physical posters in some jurisdiction, so I just co-opted that. $60 million would be fine, and much more comprehensive.

The projected cost of BIG is not at its full predictions because there are plenty of people that are not yet enrolled on it, but it seems to me that we don't have a real official number that was allocated to said program.

My personal guess for B.I.G. is that any money allocated to the program would not be specifically for advertising, and I do not want to raid those funds since they're intended to the most disadvantaged in our society. A $60 million advertising campaign over the course of a year barely makes a dent in our budget and will probably pay vast dividends in regard to reducing poverty in Atlasia over the coming years.

I mean it could cause some outrage of some welfare recipients just like what happened with Obamacare. Changing the BIG to an opt-out program would certainly be in some ways unpopular. It would require people to adapt or face a difficult bureaucratic process for getting back inside its previous program.

Fair enough. We could always make it opt-out for all future recipients.

I believe TNF wants an amendment related about the "opt out" thing.
