Specifically, how to get that constitution looking a lot more like the Fifth's. Most executive power with the President and/or an IRV or FPTP electoral system to try and consolidate big-tent centre-left and centre-right coalitions. Also, are there any notable politicians on the left or moderate right who'd be willing to ally with de Gaulle on this?

IRL de Gaulle repeatedly regretted that Pierre Mendes-France did not join him.

Question is how to convince both could-be allies like PMF and the public that a strong executive is necessary to deal with the sheer magnitude of issues.
