Well?  Do you think he'd run?  There's already a growing grassroots movement.  Considering he managed to win a primary (Oklahoma) during John Kerry's primary sweeps, I reckon he could improve on that if he tried again and started early.  Anybody want to consider his odds?

I personally like General Wesley Clark.  I think he is a good man who served his country admirably.  He is the most decorated office since Dwight Eisenhower and former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO.  But I doubt he will get very far with Sen. Hillary Clinton in the 2008 race.  If a Democrat wins in 2008 Id like to see General Clark appointed to Secretary of Defense.

I'd like to see him as the Vice Pres nominee to add a little testosterone to the ticket.

I have no doubt that he will in that event.

He's a very weak candidate.  He can not stand up for himself.  Remember in the primary when he was lambasted for being a former Republican?  Or for when he went to that Republican convention?  He was awful at defending his positions, and he would get slammed by Karl Rove in 2008.

Favorite Clark quote:

“If Karl Rove is watching today, Karl, I want you to hear this loud and clear - I'm going to provide tax cuts to ease the burden for 34 million American families and lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty by raising the taxes on one-tenth of one percent of families in America, those who make more than a million dollars a year. You don't have to read my lips, I'm saying it. And if that makes me an "old style" Democrat, then, I accept that label with pride and dare you to come after me for it.”

Second Favorite Clark quote:  "Ill beat the sh**t out of them."
(referring to anyone who questions his military record and patriotism.)

What was the income level of the 34 million families that he was talking about?

Schweitzer and Clark would make a good ticket.
But maybe Schweitzer and someone else would be even better.

Good one! The attitude we'd need.

But I thought Rove worked more for Bush than he did for the Republican party. You know what I mean?

Kerry/Clark 2004 and we might not have been so behind on security issues in polls.

You must have not heard the General Clark that I did.  Sure, during the primary he was respectful to his fellow Democrats, but I remember this one interview, he was swearing a everything at the Republican pundit.

No, he'll run for governor of arkansas instead. He actually has a shot to win.

Fine by me.  He could then use that position to gain the all-important political experience and then move on to better things at a later time.

If I hadn't already made it clear by now, I'm quite a fan of Wes Clark.  He's definitely my favorite Democrat.

Horrible candidate.  The flip-flopping attack on John kerry would be ten times stronger, and there's NO military benefit, on balance, for Clark.  Major military bigwigs broke silence to basically call him a weasel unfit for elected office.

He'd be a horrible candidate.  Anybody who watched Carl Cameron's coverage of Clark in late 2003 would realize just how horrible a candidate Clark is.  Horrible.

I'd vote for Clark in 2008, assuming the Republican isn't John McCain or Mark Sanford.
