I just noticed that in addition to one's message list from 'friends', there are sometimes 'other' messages, which are not included in the number of new messages one gets.  Very hidden really.  I missed two messages from local doctors last month wanting private English lessons for $20/hour Sad

Yeah I've only had one message there but I read about the "Other" option in some article before I actually found it on my page.
