Well it's December, I'd imagine a lot of us are putting up or have already put up Christmas lights and decorated Christmas trees. Perfectly reasonable to ask if you use the white lights or the colored lights.

The politically correct term would be "Lights of Color".  "Colored Lights" is anachronistic.

I think decking out spruces or firs in your yard with blue and/or white lights provides a nice contrast against the snow.  But on a home I prefer white lights... colored lights on the tree.

Other: Strands of lights that are all one color that isn't white. Blue, as Nix said, is beautiful when used appropriately.

All lights are created equal - except for the broken ones, of course.

Anyway, whites are more spiritual and coloreds are more festive.  I guess I'm partial to whites.
