Solid, reliable, dependable, logical, meticulous, introverted, boring, uncharismatic, inarticulate, and uncreative. The ying and the yang. It's no accident that you can count the number of accountants in Congress on one hand.

but look at the number of accountants in law enforcement, such as the fbi.

Yes, for white collar crime, forensic work can get pretty intensive. The poor chaps sit there in some windowless cubicle peering at financial records by the thousands. God, their eyesight must be horrible. A couple of my best friends are CPA's by the way. And one of them is kick ass. I sought out that unusual specimen with some fixation and perseverance, because I needed a tiger to go in there and maul those who needed mauling, before I went in to finish them off. Now we team up quite a bit.

I hated accounting in college, but now I kind of like it. It's just one of those things I couldn't personally care about or appreciate in a purely academic setting, I think.

Since I am thinking of becoming one at some point down the line, and also because I come from a long line of people who have been accountants at one point or another, FF's.

Better a CPA than a day trader, I'd say. To encourage that shift I would love a TV show about accountants and auditors, filled with debauchery and death threats.
