4,370 baht (close to $140)

four thousand baht notes

three hundred baht notes

one fifty baht note

one twenty baht note

Technically it wasn't all in my wallet - I keep the smaller bills loose in my pocket.

I very rarely carry anything more than my android, my keys, my drivers license and my debit card...oh and smokes/lighter.  No wallet, just various pockets.  What else would I need?

Ugh, the cashless and near-cashless disgust me.  You guys should use cash instead of that nasty debit.

I always save all my coins for the day and toss them in the jug.  Never use change, ever.   When the jug gets very heavy it has about $350 in it.

I like to use my coins to make exact change for everything.

Haha, cute.  But here I almost never go through a check out line or see a cash register, and the coins are a little more rational.

In practice no one uses satang, the smallest one in common use is the one baht coin - about 3 cents.

To the contrary. Cash changes hands constantly and quickly becomes soiled with bodily oils excreted by fingertips. Cloth money is nasty!
