Not true, actually.  Several recent sock makers were just temp banned, in cases where the sock accounts didn't do much.  It's just that in most cases, the sockmaster can't help himself, and does it again, ending up with a permaban.

Having krazen around does at least serve the useful purpose of reminding us that people with such attitudes are quite numerous in the real world, and are a force (for evil) to be reckoned with.

The sock banhammer is, perhaps, applied a little too heavily, and I would prefer leniency for many of our fallen comrades.  But my impression is that most forums everywhere have similar rules, for good reasons; I cannot fault Atlas specifically on this point.
