I know the last thing most of us want is more discussion of the stupid maps, but the Senate elections are just two weeks away and people still don't know what district they are running in.   (I don't care....I'm not running)

As I see it we have three options:
1.) Elect the Senate with the existing maps, and have the Senate decide on a fix.
2.) Delay the Senate elections until the forum as a whole has resolved the map issue, probably through another series of votes.
3.) Just have the president decide what the maps are.

I'm not going to claim to call for a "vote" here, but informally, what do people think is preferable?

Just to be very clear. We are assuming the "current map" is the one in the Constitution & used by JFK on his Senatorial candidates list, right?
NOT the Maps which passed the 3-31 vote (below)?

Regions:

Districts:

Also, suppose we elect Senators based on some temporary map plan, but in order to achieve the map that we later on decide to agree to, we will have to put two Senators into the same region? Will we then have a run-off between those two?

No, I was assuming the current maps are the ones we passed in the Amendments vote.

1.
And then the Senate should fix the problem by redistricting the districts (we have four months for that, shouldn't be a problem) and the Supreme Court by striking the ten-states rule.
