Update or Atlas Shrugged

[I spent the winter writing songs about getting better]

One of these is a pile of moronic, mind-numbing garbage spewed out by a sociopathic idiot that only total inksing morons put any value whatsoever in. The other is a series of message board threads about a guy in Oklahoma.

[Atlas Has Shrugged]

Atlas Shrugged by far. I should read it again, soon, actually. Its been about two years, and I have read several other works by Rand and on Rand since then to clarify it better. Besides the philosophical points, and the piss poor writing, the plot creation is genius. So many sub plots, so perfectly tied together, with lots of suspense and intrigue to spice it up a bit.  The characters are rather odd, like all Rand characters; only Kira Argounova from We the Living is actually realistic, since she experiences inner conflicts and doubts.

The Update contains none of that, but I have not read the Update in over a year, so I may have missed out. I doubt I did though.

And don’t go calling anyone sociopaths if you voted for the update. If you feel anything after reading it, it’s probably your own personal hate and misery, which you all spew on Bushie. You all make Rand look like Mother Theresa in comparison, and Ayn Rand was one cold woman.

I actually saw an interview with Barbara Branden in which Rand had made her characters so sexually liberated and the sex as passionate as it was because she could not dare to do so in her own personal life. She never could shake off the morality of czarist Russia.

Yes. You may not like it, but she has had quite an influence. I suspect that it has not been for the better.
