Question is not "Do you frequently drive a car owned by someone else (such as your parents)?" or "Do you lease a car you are paying a loan on with the title held by the loaner?" but simply do you actually own a car.

Yes I do now. Got the title in the mail yesterday.

I have the title for 2 cars.  A dying beater (96 Mazda Protege) and the best car I've ever owned (06 Mazda 3).

Jesus, I had no idea you were so rich.

I have one - a 30 year old decrepit, battered Toyota.

Technically, I own 3, but I only ever drive one.  It's a 2012 Mazda 3.  I've had it for one year and three months and I just hit the 6000 mile mark.  (I really should get out more.)

I bought it because of the gas mileage.  That was really my main concern.  I test drove the Ford Focus, Ford Fusion, Honda Civic, etc.  I ruled out "hybrid" cars, and was only driving the really small internal-combustion engine cars.  Among those I drove, I liked Mazda 3 the best.  Mine got 44 mpg on a round trip to York for a Halloween party last night (30 miles each way.)  Generally, for my 9-mile each way commute, all urban and suburban, my long-term average is about 29.5 miles per gallon.

The sticker price was $20500, or thereabouts.  I'd done some research and found that the markup for foreign cars was less than that for domestic, and the best I could hope to negotiate was ~10% off sticker price.  I offered 18, and the guy disappeared for a few minutes and came back with 19, then I offered 18.2 and we went back and forth for a long time.  Finally, I said that if he could get the price so that it would be exactly 20, with tax, registration fee, title fee, etc., then I'd buy it.  After a conversation with his manager and some calculating, we set the price at $18397.62, which made the whole thing $20K.  Of course, they were assholes about my check, since it had an Iowa address on it and I was buying the car in Pennsylvania, but luckily there's a branch of my bank within a mile of that car dealership and I get free money orders as part of my account, so it wasn't too much trouble to get him a money order for twenty.

I've been satisfied.  It's not fancy, but it's comfortable.  No electric sun/moon roof like there was in my past few cars, but it has electric windows, AM/FM/CD player with controls on the steering wheel.  Cruise control, hands-free mobile phone and all that.  I didn't get the big package which would also have had heated leather seats, GPS, and a six-disc changer on the CD, but I wasn't really looking for that.  The only expensive option I got was an automatic transmission, which added about $750 to the sticker price.  That was mostly because if my wife's car breaks she can drive mine.  (She can't drive a manual and once a few years ago it was a hassle when her car was in the shop and all I had was a five-speed VW Jetta, so I had to take her to work.)

It's the best handling FWD small car one can buy.  The Focus is pretty much the same car, just less sporty.

Yes, I own a 2003 Acura TL. It hasn't been quite as reliable as my previous car, a 2001 Toyota Camry, but it's been an ok car. Very comfortable, which is important to me.

No. The communists in office prevent a 17 year-old from doing so, not that I currently have the means to do so anyway.
