Seriously? Eventually if stuff like this keeps happening school will become practically a jail for students, its awful. I think education should be enjoyable and effective, and it is possible, but banning s*** definitely doesn't help anything.

It seems a bit silly to me, but I don't know the specific circumstances of the school. Stuff like this should always be left for individual schools to decide.

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but this doesn't seem to be a free speech issue in the vein of Tinker. Its more like principals banning Pokemon cards and Crazy Bones back in the day.

Who here remembers those snap bracelets that coiled around your wrist? I'm pretty sure my kindergarten teacher had a drawer full of the ones she confiscated from us. I don't see how this is any different.

Youngsters in my area have set up stands for these trinkets at all the schools, and there has never been any problems I'm aware of with them.
